Who even makes one these days? Wood, steel or fiberglass?

Therma tru. I know they’re bottom of the food chain, but it’s within my budget.

They are not bottom of the food chain, middle of the road. I can see usingthem and not go against that. However I will say do not buy it from a Box Store, go to a real lumberyard or window and door store. I would not use the vented sidelites. I honestly see no benfit to them and only potential headaches. There is a reason most do not offer them and thise that do only have one or two styles.

Thank you mill! Glad to hear that. Some on here have referred to them as bottom. We are using a door company.

The sidelites were a hope to create some circulation. We didn’t want to do the storm door route but I may rethink that. Thanks again for your response.

The issue I have with the vented sidelites i\s the same as the vented door. If something move a hair they do not operate properly, they do not open enough in my opinion to do much good. Just my thoughts on them. Most people I ever sold the vented doors to regretted it as they never really operated smooth for long. Albeit that was a long time ago, I do not think the technology has changed much for them.

That makes sense. Like everything…more mechanics, more problems.
