Question about c.d.'s

HU-412394071

Hi, I've been trying to find the answer online, but going in circles.
In regards to a cd, when do the rates go in to effect?
I opened an account on 1/10, but the funds weren't transferred until 1/18. The interest rate went down during that time.
Should I still get the higher rate, or does it go by when the money transferred?
Thanks.

You would get the rate that was in effect the day the money went into your account.
