2 Stage Compressor Gas Pack/Heil

| We have just installed a 14 SEER HEIL gas pack w/two stage compressor. The noise from inside the home is a pulsating sound rather than one continuous level of noise.Unfortunately, the unit is located directly under a bedroom window and the pulsating noise is very noticeable. The technician today (we have only had the unit 3 weeks) set the unit to run only on stage 2. Does anyone know how this will effect the wear and life of the unit? Also, has anyone had noise issues with 2 stage units or HEIL products? Is there a brand known for operating more quietly than others? |
