Flooring for ktichen, dining room and laundry room

We are in the process of putting new flooring in all 3 of these rooms. They adjoin each other.

I hate ceramie and procelain tile. What would be your next choice?

Help, getting so confused.

When we redid our mudroom, kitchen, dining room, laundry room and bathroom (all adjoining) we went with chiseled edge, honed travertine in a modular pattern. It's made by Florida Tile and the color is called Picasso. I LOVE MY FLOORS. They hide everything and quite honestly don't require any attention. I have to remind myself to vacuum them or wash them because they never look dirty, even with pets. Here are a couple of photos.

If tile is out, then you've got carpet, vinyl, hardwood and laminate to choose from. I'd definitely stay away from carpet for your application. What are your priorities (cost, ease of maintenance, aesthetic appeal)?
