 o
remodeling a small office

I would like some ideas regarding my husband's small office. There is dark pine paneling in his office. The walls behind are not in the best shape. I'd like to use a commercial grade wallpaper. Would this be a good idea and do you have any reputable sites I could check for wallpaper?
I am also interested in laminate flooring. Is there a product someone has purchased and is happy with?
My main goals are to do the flooring, brighten the office up by addressing the paneling and re wallpaper a small kitchen in bath preferably by using the same paper throughout or something that will compliment.
We are on a budget so if anyone would be willing to share ideas it would be greatly appreciated.

Why not drywall over the paneling. Relatively inexpensive. You have to extend electrical outlets with extension boxes, not too costly of a project I would think.

thank you sierra for suggesting this. I am going to check on the possibility . The building itself is pretty old so I will ask about the electrical possibility and if there would be any problems.
Great idea. I thank you.

If the paneling is in good condition, you can prime and paint over it for a very inexpensive renewal of the look. I did this in my home office, which had dark paneling and the room was transformed. I also put down bamboo flooring rather than laminate, which is more durable, though in my previous office I used laminate and it was adequate, it just doesn't tolerate any wetness.
