At the yard last weekend, I fell for the look of a slab of leathered silvery gray granite called Metalicus. I've seen it under the name Metallica as well. I have a sample which is practically crumbling in my hand as it has so much mica/glitter in it (but that's what makes it so pretty). This seems like it would be a problem. One of the fabricators I showed the sample too said it seems like it would chip easily. I don't understand how if it's granite, it chips so easily. Anyone know anything about this particular stone?
