Trane's lowest end AC condenser.

What type of furnace do you have? age, model,?

I'm not sure what the model, it's 9 year old natural gas furnace and planning on keeping it. The outside unit it's replacing is a Goodman. The thing is noisy and needs to be recharged with refrigerant about once a year. Weird thing is the builder (built 2001) put a 5 ton evaporator and a 4 ton outside unit. There's no obvious leaks.

It's the dealers job to make sure the blower will support a 4 ton outdoor unit. Fistre, if you can find the furnace model number (often not easy as it is sometimes inside the furnace doors), post it and it may be easy to cross check.

Also, a 5 ton evaporator coil is not uncommon on a 4 ton outdoor unit.
