I've had a Samsung LCD TV since last May. So far, no problems. The main reason I bought it was because it had a headphone jack. I've heard of a couple of problems with them. One problem is the clicking on and off when you try to turn it on. Apparently it's caused by bad capacitors in the power supply. Replacement of these capacitors or the power supply usually corrects it. but it can be expensive if the power supply is replaced. Some people have just replaced the capacitors. I've read the problem shows up after about 3000 hours of use. The other problem I've read about is called the 'flashlight effect'. It looks like someone is holding a flashlight at the four corners and aiming the flashlight at the screen. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. |

| I also had a Samsung lcd tv, and so far it works well, samsung is a good brand as well as panasonic based on my experience. I didn't have any problems with my televisions and maybe it depends also how you took care of your appliances...Samsung have a customer service in which you could ask some assistance for any technical problems.. |
