Anybody out there with Samsung lcd tv problems. I was surprised to see a host of issues on tvs that had gone out of warranty. More so Samsungs total indifference to out of warranty products that were built with inherent design flaws.
Check out this site it is a real eye opener.I am not talking 5 or 10 year old stuff.

RE: Samsung lcd tv

I've had a Samsung LCD TV since last May. So far, no problems. The main reason I bought it was because it had a headphone jack.
I've heard of a couple of problems with them.
One problem is the clicking on and off when you try to turn it on. Apparently it's caused by bad capacitors in the power supply. Replacement of these capacitors or the power supply usually corrects it. but it can be expensive if the power supply is replaced. Some people have just replaced the capacitors. I've read the problem shows up after about 3000 hours of use.
The other problem I've read about is called the 'flashlight effect'. It looks like someone is holding a flashlight at the four corners and aiming the flashlight at the screen.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I also had a Samsung lcd tv, and so far it works well, samsung is a good brand as well as panasonic based on my experience. I didn't have any problems with my televisions and maybe it depends also how you took care of your appliances...Samsung have a customer service in which you could ask some assistance for any technical problems..

Hmmm. In my experience Samsung products are very high quality. I've had a Samsung HD LCD TV for a year, very happy with it. Since you gave no specifics but posted a link to an apparent complaint site, it seems you might have an agenda to badmouth Samsung, or drive clicks to that site.

I owned a samsung lcd for a year, its working great so far. I think they generally make good lcd tv. Most complaint are few years back where technology are inferior. I'm sure newer model nowadays are much better and will last longer. Although I do prefer the quality from sharp, toshiba and sony which are much more expensive.
