Keeping things safe in case of disaster?

Does anyone have a safe or box they use to keep certain key items from harm in case of a fire or flood. I was considering purchasing a water and fire safe. However, does anyone else have something similar or have another suggestion for keeping important documents safe in case of a disaster?

Here is a link that might be useful: water and fire safe

This is not a forum for advertising your wares. We call it caned meat!

Yes - We have two of those, which makes it easy to 'grab and run' if we have time. Of course, the flip side is that it's just as easy for a burglar to 'grab and run'...

I've taken digital photos of all of our valuables and sent a copy DVD to my brother in another state. He's done the same and I have a copy here. Won't keep anything safe, but would certainly help with an insurance claim in the event of a loss.

I think it's a legitimate question, and I doubt that First Alert is sending someone to spam this forum.
