I am doing a very small powder room, and yesterday chose labrador green granite for the counter (which I think is a variation of ubatuba). It will be on top of dark cabinets--cherry stained brown mahagony--with a medium-dark wood floor. No window. I am worried too(!), but totally fell for the stone. I'm figuring a big mirror and good lighting will brighten it up. We'll see! It won't be installed til next week, so no photos to share.

I would love to see pix if there are any?
My master bath gets tons of light- and
I have selected verde butterfly with a cherryish finish vanity- it just looked so perfect to me that I just went with it. (Every so often I get a bit of 2nd guessing when I see all the gorgeous light bright bathrooms. )

I have uba tuba in my masterbath...I restained my oak cabinets black and had uba tuba put in....love it~~

I'm doing verde butterfly over dark cherry cabinets, at least I will of my granite guy ever returns my calls. The tub deck and accent tile is Crossville glassblox in deep sea, which picks up on the green in the granite.

Without much light, I think the Uba Tuba is going to look mostly black. Have you brought home a sample of both to look at in your bathroom? Have you looked at Verde Peacock? It should be a little lighter. All three are beautiful :)

Monica is right, without much light the Uba Tuba looks black. But it also looks dramatic. Depends on the look you're going for, drama in a powder room is nice!
