Update on the cat distribution thread of April 23.
Almost two weeks ago friends on the next block found this starving emaciated cat under their shed and a day later I brought him to my garden house where he stayed overnights and was in the yard in the days. Friday a week ago he was so scared of the lawnmowers, he hid under there all day so that night I took him to the back bedroom where he stayed a week. On Wednesday I took him to my vet and he (originally we thought was a she because of his delicate effeminate face) but is in fact a young unneutered male who doesn't have baby teeth so maybe a year or more. I have never seen a more personable cat coming from the outside and acclimating himself immediately. My friends ran posts on FB , Next Door( which is where I saw it )Find Toby and no responses and he wasn't chipped. He was negative for distemper and feline leukemia and joined the downstairs cats. He marched around like he owned the place and ignored hisses by Poppy the seven-year-old ginger who is a prima donna. He has the longest whiskers and ear tuffs I have ever seen and a giant raccoon tail like my Maine Coon but his fur is short. His name is William, Willy for short.
Beautiful cat! You're a sweetheart for taking him in. He looks so happy!
Pretty cat, can you call a boy cat pretty?
I love that you took in a stray! He's gorgeous! Personality plus!
he's very pretty! congrats on your new family member.
He is a pretty boy! Beautiful color, like silver silken threads.
I'm just betting you're going to feed him until he grows into those whiskers. And his fur will become longer. Lucky cat to have found you, because you're going to do a great job.
Sweet Willy! He really is pretty! Bless you, Lily!
What a handsome boy!
Such a sweety
William The Lucky One. I like it and you are wonderful to have gathered him into your family. He is beautiful.
Willy is stunning!!! Thanks for taking him in :-)
Elliott has long whiskers too, and visitors often comment on them.
William is stunning. I’m so glad he slid seamlessly in with the rest of the gang. Thank you for making him part of your family.
What a beauty!
Wondering if there's some Turkish Angora in there? Does he have tufts of fur between his toes?
I didn't see the original, but this is such a heartwarmingthread. It's so great that you took him to the vet to check him out and how wonderful that he is meshing with all the residents.
What a lucky cat. He is so pretty.
He is beautiful, and so happy he now has a great home!
