Recommendations for soaking/freestanding tub

Hello - looking for tubs for our new build. Love the freestanding tub look but also trying to have an “age in place” home, and this looking for a freestanding tub with grab rails, texture to prevent slipping, and perhaps a seat to make it easier to get up. And a wider “lip” to sit and swing your legs around. Also like the idea of an air bubble tub but lots of reviews are negative and indicate it just makes the water go cold quicker. What have people with similar criteria found and liked - or tried and not liked? Do we need to give up on freestanding and look to a drop-in tub? Thanks.

You are describing a built in tub. Not a freestanding. Freestanding is very far from aging in place friendly.

We aren't tub people, so I did a freestanding tub mostly for looks and because I needed one tub in the house.

For the potential to use a tub easily as you age, I would do an under-mount installation for the tub. Gives you a wider flat ledge to sit and rotate in/out of the tub.
