Need an idea for this tile ornament craft

Our friends got married in Portugal this past September and included a small tile with the menu/place setting decorations for each guest. I kept the tile and want to make it into an ornament for her.
Do you have any suggestions? we could try drilling a tiny whole in the ceramic to hang the tile and possibly write something on it? the tile measures 2 and 3/4 inches.
