Saving project in Print Shop 23.1

I make my own recipe cards using the "post card" projects category in Print Shop 23.1. Spend lots of time adjusting fonts, line, graphics, etc., to get them to my satisfaction. OK when I print out original recipe cards, but when I save the project, and reopen it later, I have to readjust all the lines, graphics, font. What am I doing wrong? Or is this a limitation in the program?
